Like many of you, I have been a "gear head" most all of my life. If it had wheels or an internal combustion engine, I was in to it. I've had a few interesting cars over the years, A 1968 Dodge Coronet R/T with a 440 Magnum engine and 4-speed got me started after college. Thereafter a succession of cars which could be kindly described as "economical trans-portation" followed as I paid my dues to raise a family.
During that time I had many motorcycles, mostly large displacement street bikes, with a few dual purpose and dirt bikes in the mix. I still have a real taste for the kind of acceleration that one can only get in product-ion vehicles from a 1,000 cc or larger four cylinder muscle bike.
My low point for cars was a 1974 Ford Pinto...that put me off of Fords for about 20 years! The 1994 Mustang Cobra shown here is my second Ford product, and I can enthusiastically say that Ford has substantially improved in 20 years.
As the kids were getting past high school and college the rides began to get better. A 1986 Isuzu Impulse Turbo was pretty quick and a '90 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX all wheel drive turbo (awesome) followed.
Soon afterwards, a 1972 Chevrolet Nova became the "father and son project" and a high performance 377 cubic inch small block was built in our garage.
My son also took on a 1969 Chevrolet pickup project with engine, paint and other modifications.

The Mitsubishi gave way to a '94 Mustang Cobra which is still a part of the family and is described on these pages. It's fast enough to keep your interest... low eleven second passes at the strip, and still has leather, CD, air conditioning... all of the conveniences.
In 2000, I came across a classified ad for a garage sale that included a "1996 Plymouth Emmi". I thought, "Is that what I think it is?" I called the number, and sure enough it was a 1966 Plymouth Belvedere II with a 426 street hemi! The person on the phone said that I was the only one that responded to the ad. I got directions, hitched up my race car trailer and drove halfway across the state to see the car. Six hours later, I was hauling it home, a 56,000 mile original hemi car which had been stored for the previous nine years.
After realizing that every mile I put on the Hemicar was lowering it's value, I decided to take up a friend on a trade for a 427 Cobra replica. This car is the epitome of fun. It has no practical value, but is a pure blast to drive and nothing but eye candy to everyone, young and old. One of the high maintenance items for this car is wiping off fingerprints.
As the Mustang Cobra got more and more rowdy, it became obvious that a replacement daily driver was in order. In May of 2001, I located a 1999 C5 Corvette at an unbeatable price. It is detailed on these pages and has been a real joy to own.
So far, so good, and I hope you enjoy the ride!
